Its looks good from this distance. Is it possible to get a closer view of it?

OK I'll make a scene and fix the violin and add strings and stuff and get a closer view of it too.

Here is a scene with it in.

Note: The room, table and plant are from the indoor lighting tutorial.

Why doesn't anyone give me any criticism or anything?

Hey airedale,

Don't worry about not getting too many criticism at this point. You are just starting out so criticising your images does not have much effect at the moment. The main thing for you to do is to practice, practice, practice with making different things and trying out different tools and settings in anim8or.

Your violin looks good for a beginner! its good to see you are already trying out different materials and textures.
As spicy noted the images are very small, and the violin quite in the distance so it is hard to tell what is going on.

Maybe you can try rendering with shadows to get to know setting up a scene a bit better!

Keep at it, and dont let a lack of comments get you down, its how everyone starts out :)

I have played the violin for over 10 years so here are some general crits:

-Use as much reference as possible when modeling, the general shape of your instrument needs some work.
-The strings are not all the same Diameter, as you will see in reference
-There is no chin rest (although not completely necessary, sometimes people don't use them, 90% of the time they will be there)
-There is no bridge (this is on EVERY violin so it is necessary), this is the bridge: http://bowsforstrings.com/image/Bridge%20DSCN2106.jpg

keep up the good work and keep at it
