Man this is going to be the hottest challenge.  The name of challenge itself is enough to stimulate a gush of anim8aline through the arteries.

Hope I can contribute something.

Find an old machine, or something in your toolbox or something, and take a picture of it.

But if you don't have a camera, then tell me, I'll give you some textures. =] But googling rust textures isn't a bad idea.
I'm gonna enter this one. =]

Very little time this days, but I´d like to take part on this challenge, so I´ll go for a smaller object than yours :-)

Here´s my first sketch, without textures:

I'm just taking a short break from my big project to keep working on it enjoyable rather than become a chore, so I'll put in an entry as well.

However, reading the challenge guidelines I'm a little confused about :
Quote
Use Anim8or: You can use other tools (uv mapping, composition, etc.) but the majority of the modeling should be done with Anim8or.

However, since nothing is mentioned about rendering, I assume that rendering is Anim8or only as well. Well, at least that's how I would look at it.

Anybody knows ? :D
