If you are intrested in making primitve shape scripts check out the plane script. Also there are a couple tutorials on material scripts and some other things. I'll try to find the links.

Ok I have found a couple of Tutorials...
If you are interested in controller scripting follow this link that Kubjazz provided me with when I asked the same question: http://www.biederman.net/leslie/tutorials/ASL%20Scripting/ASL_scripting.htm
Also on this page there is a downloadable PDF tutorial on material scripting: http://www.anim8or.com/smf/index.php?topic=1759.0 just scroll down a little bit. I am working on a bit of a more advanced version of the latter but I will need to dig around a little first. I had gave it to DotAn8 but it looks like there won't be a new one of those for a while...

edit: By the way for the second link only download the pdf, the second link on the page...

You should just look at the ASL Scripts databas (It's a sticky) then choose the ones you think are the most useful.. Once you have made a list pm the authors and ask them, if they don't respond pm kubjazz he should be able to get ahold of them or give you permission.
