Thanks all.  You are right, I needed a better background or skydome or something.  But I think I'll model something new with the glass material before I spend another 7 hours on a slipper.  Thanks for comments.

Hey guys,  it's been a long time since I've posted on here.  I made this glass slipper a looooong time ago (when ART was added to Anim8or) and I never did post it.  So here ya go.

I started with a cube and just started subdividing...It took about 7.5 hours to render a 3 second video!  There are 3 llights in the scene.  Let me know what you think.  Thanks!

You can even select a whole range of frames by holding SHIFT and clicking the first and last frame.  This will select all the frames in between.  Then you can copy and paste like hiho said.

Everyone, thanks for the comments, they really do help.

Headwax,  I think you're right.  He is leaning a little too far forward for the speed I want him running at.  I'll work on that.

Indian8or,  I'm working on some different stances as we speak.  I'm pretty happy with deformations I'm getting out of this rig, except for when he brings his leg too far forward his butt doesn't deform correctly, but I know how to fix that.  It'll look better with my next post.  This is just for a really low poly project so I didn't want to get too detailed yet.  I'm just using this to test camera movements and things like that.  Again, thanks for the comments.

Hihosilver!  How's it going?  It's good to be back!  I never really left I just didn't have a lot of time to be working on Anim8or or post comments, but I quit one of my jobs so I should be able to work on that a lot more now.  And this will give me more time to learn from all the other great 3d artists on here also, so, SCHWING!!  You're right about the foot movement, and I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out, so thanks!  There is a little up and down body motion but not enough, when I fix the foot movement I think that will help the body moving up and down too.

Bamman,  Hiho's right, I didn't do the Spartan run. 

Anyway,  thanks again for all the comments!  It looks like there has been a lot of new stuff posted on Anim8or.com so I got a lot to catch up on.  As soon as I fix these suggestions I'll post an update.  See ya!

I love it!  The composition is really nice, it makes the whole picture so easy to look at.  I love the lighting!!  I agree with Headwax about the difference in color temp though.  The sky and the sand look so warm but the dolphins look like are being lit by a much whiter light.  I'm not sure what could have made the colors look better but I didn't really notice it 'till Headwax pointed it out anyway, so it still looks really good.

The only thing that stands out for me is the shadow on the dolphins should be darker.  I think this is more a personal preference that a technical thing, but the shadow on the grass in the sand seems pretty dark and is facing the camera because there is so much backlighting with the sun so low, it seems there should be more shadow facing the camera on the dolphins.  But like I said, that's just a personal preference.  

You've done a great oceanscape that two dolphins jumped into and became the stars of!  The water looks great, the dolphins are having a blast, the grass in the foreground ties the whole picture together with the sun in the background...I love it!  Great job!

Let me correct my previous statement.  The shadows on the dolphins ARE dark enough, I just thought the shadows should cover more of the dolphin's body.  But again, just a personal preference.

The more I look at this scene the more I like it.  You can see the warm colors reflecting in the water,  that helps the scene a lot.  Again, great job.

Here's a run cycle I'm working on for a game I'm making with Cre8or 3d.  It's really low poly and I haven't textured it yet, I just wanted something I could start using in Cre8or to test movements and camera tracking.  It was done completely in Anim8or.  Let me know what you think.  Thanks!

I understand what you mean by the bones not ROTATING the correct way.

When you want to rotate an object, first select it, then click the Rotate button, then click and hold on the object (or bone) and drag to rotate it.

If it doesn't rotate the way you want it to try using a different mouse button.  Try the Left, Right, AND Middle mouse buttons.  If it still will not rotate on the right axis try changing the view (Left, Front, Top, even Perspective).  Remember, the different mouse buttons (and it seems like different views) change the axis that the bones rotate on (X, Y, and Z).

If it doesn't rotate the way you want it to just drag the mouse to the edge of the screen and let go and the bone will go back to the way it was.  Pretty soon you will get the hang of it.

P.S.     If you are in Sequence Mode or Scene Mode you must make sure the "Key" button is green, other wise it won't save your changes for each frame.

Nice job!!  If you're going for the dino look it looks really good!

The upper jaw is too flat.  It needs to curve to match the lower jaw.  I can't see the wireframe so I can't tell if it will have problems when Anim8ted but so far it looks great to me! 8)

There is a really good one about making facial expresions but I can't remember what it's called.  Making Faces, or something like that.

I forgot all about the Graph Editor.  You can open the graph editor in Scene Mode and that allows you to select individual bones and add key frames and move them that way.  It actually works pretty good it's just that it shows you all the animation tracks for all the bones at the same time so it's kinda hard to tell them apart.  Luckily there's also a list of the bone names so you can just click the one you want.  This may be a good way to animate bones in the Scene Mode.

I'm sure some of the veteran Anim8or's have been doing this for quite a while.  ;)

Floyd86, that's one thing that Anim8or really needs.  I'm working on an animation of a giant spider crawling over debris and it hard to get the movements right in Sequence Mode because you can't see what it's crawling over.

Since we're talking about it,  how do you guys have your models interact with each other?  I try to use the grid as a reference but I know there are better ways.  I'm not trying to hijack your post Mix, I think this goes along with your question.
