I should have clarified the version. Using 1348.

I absolutely love anim8or even if I don't know what I'm doing half of the time. :)

The camera is marked active. I only have one camera in the scene. I've tried renaming the camera but that doesn't work either. It totally ignores any background image, solid colors, no problem. Still seeing the lights as well. Am I doing something wrong?

One other thing, texture transparencies are fine in object, figure and sequence, and scene, but totally ignored when you render.

Having some issues with scenes. I played around with the suggestion from Dancing Shoes but a few things I've come across:

I changed camera01 to camera as suggested. Works fine if you just use a color as a background, but won't work with a background image.

Lights show up during rendering.

Scratch that. Read the "Dancingshoes" post. Showed up in render after I renamed "camera01" to "camera."

Having a little issue with setting up a scene on the most recent build from December 2018. when I attempt to do a background, either images or color, it doesn't show using the active camera or during render. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

I'm having issues changing the active on cameras. Also, shadows don't seem to show after rendered.

slex: I should be able to preserve the undo list through renders.  However it's much harder to do it when you change between the different editors because changes that you make in the Figure editor, for example, can invalidate the undo data for a Scene.
I was thinking- could it be possible to preserve 'undo-redo' data within the saved .an8 file? That would also do the same purpose- by saving .an8 file of the current editor and starting that project again and giving it different name. Also if user activates the autosave then most of the steps would be kept if project crashes for any reason.

Yea, I know, still playing with lights. I've put a new one together, partially textured. I really wish I could do partical effects with anim8tor. I'm trying to be a purist with the modelling.

And thanks for the constructive criticism. I really do appreciate it.

The houses is one block, I had to do the posts separately. I wish there were more tutorials, but I have learned a lot from the existing ones. I would like to see a little more in depth tutorial on bones and weights. I keep screwing things up. Oh well, I'm a novice. I really do love Anim8tor and I'm really happy further development is going on.

I threw this together. It's still a work in progress, no sound and no texturing yet.

I'm a novice when it comes to modelling, but thanks to Anim8tor and the recent developments, I feel I have gotten better. I will post some pics soon. My one problem, I am so use to Anim8tor it is difficult for me to play around with ither free modelling programs.

I'm having no issues on Windows 10. I had a lot of apps that didn't work after I upgraded to Windows 10, but then I upgraded my video driver and all was good. Have you tried compatibility mode?

I only know two ways of fudging an animated background or texture. One is to add several versions of the model and changing the texture on each model then dealing with the visibility in the scene. The second is to fire up terranim8tor and dealing with it that way. Any chance of adding that kind of support. You've probably had that request before.
