General Anim8or Forum / Farewell Guys
« on: July 17, 2009, 04:14:08 pm »
Hello everyone.

I hate to say it, but its time for me to leave the anim8or community. It's been a great 1 & a half years here, its been something very special.

The reason I am leaving is because I don't use Anim8or anymore, I have turned to the dark side and I use Blender 3D instead. Im quite good at it, I have been using it for about 2 years now (I was working with Anim8or and Blender).  I have joined another forum forum.nystic.com (A Blender, 2D Graphics and General Talk forum. Its super3boys forum, for those who have heard of him).

I'd just like to say a few things, with the last post I have. :)

@hihosilver: I'd just like to thank you for keeping me inline and making sure I was following the rules. When I first joined I wasn't aware of the rules and me and hiho had a few bumps along the way  :D

@floyd: You have been a great help to me, whenever I asked you to take a look at some renders I have did,  you always said yes ;)
Thanks

@Steve: Thanks for making a wonderfull program. Anim8or opened me up to the 3D world, and if it wasn't for anim8or. I wouldn't be were I am now. And thanks for answering my questions :D

@thecolclough: Thanks for the good laughs we had. Especially those PM's we sent one another haha. :)

@kreator: Thanks for those amazing DOTan8 magazines! I really hope you continue them!

@Anim8or Studios: I hope your project really turns out the way you want it to. Good Luck!!!

@DressedForSuccess: Good luck with your game! :)

(If I have missed anyone im sorry, im writing very quickly)

Oh and the Space Series Idea is still going on btw, I haven't left that at all. Its still going strong. :D

One more thing, I'll always be jelous of Hiho and Floyd, how they got there moderating position I'll never know! Haha  ;D

And to the Anim8or Community, thanks for having me for this short time. You guys were and always shall be like family to me :). I don't think I'll ever return. But if I do, I just hope I'll be welcomed back. :)

Thanks guys. Spicy, signing off.... ;)

I'll never forget you guys.... :'(

Hi guys! :)

Just to let you know I have set up a new forum to do with the space series idea (See Topic: Space Series Idea). It also contains a general chit chat, anim8or talk and anim8or works in progress, as well as other staff sub-forums

Message for Tanzim: I have pre-registered you as an Admin, I will message you with your username and password.

Reason why?
Because this way, we can talk and discuss the space series without blogging up Steve's Anim8or Board.

Feel free to join and discuss.

The Address is below:

Thanks.  ;)

Finished Works and Works in Progress / Space Series Idea
« on: May 31, 2008, 01:08:09 pm »
Hello fellow anim8ors! It's me spicy, over the last few months I have been thinking about a anim8or project that I wanted to create and have others involved in it to. Its a space series (As you might of guessed) 15 minute long for each episode, now you might think why am i bothering to do a project that will take ages to do (Thats the fun part!), it will take a long time to do and I understand that you may think whats the point in helping becuase you are unsure weather the creator will not just back out of the project, I promise you I will not (You have my word). I tried to start another project (Ages ago) called the Half Life Funny Movie, I did stop that project because of people's lack of intrest, copy right and bieng a bit of a newb (Asking people to do that and this). Well I must start off a fresh start, anyone that is intrested in this project let me know right away and I shall send you a PDF file containing all the info you shall need the plot, art, effects, roles and side stories. The reason I am not putting the PDF file on this topic is becuase I don't want to spoil the story for fellow anim8ors. many other people that you may know on the this forum have agreed to help me (Thankyou). I myself are going to model, get the art from my lead artist etc... This shall be a great experience for me and you. If you would like to help just PM me or just say on the topic. I hope to look forward to working with some fellow anim8ors

« on: May 22, 2008, 09:55:58 am »
Stackless Python is a program used to create scripts for webs, games etc... EVE online used Stackless Python to create EVE online. I was wondering, could you use Anim8or models and import them into Stackless Python? Steve should know

General Anim8or Forum / I K-Inverse Kinetics
« on: May 07, 2008, 11:52:16 am »
When will IK be implented into anim8or?

Quote from wikipedia-Inverse kinematics is the process of determining the parameters of a jointed flexible object (a kinematic chain) in order to achieve a desired pose. Inverse kinematics are also relevant to game programming and 3D animation, where a common use is making sure game characters connect physically to the world, such as feet landing firmly on top of terrain.

Hope Steve will do it soon

General Anim8or Forum / How did you find Anim8or?
« on: April 11, 2008, 05:37:56 am »
Hello everyone. i was just thinking to myself this morning how did everyone else on the forum find Anim8or (By accident, heard it on the web, read it from a book etc...) I found it by accident searching for "animation" on the web and it pooped up and catched me (I have been hooked ever since), so post away. becuase there are may other animation programs (Blender, Byrce 5 and 6, K3D), there is something about anim8or that makes it special (It's easy to use, has many special functions, ART Ray Tacer! So the general question is "How did you find anim8or?"
