General Anim8or Forum / A feature I'd like to see in Anim8or.

I'd like to have a Torus as a primitive. I remember using some other free modeler a while back, and it ended up being quite useful. Also, I think better 2D shape to 3D shape support would be good, paths don't work that well for me.

Can I do this without moving anything about?

General Anim8or Forum / Mapping multiple side with textures

This is really frustrating. When i apply a texture to an object, it will be fine on one side, but then "stretched" on another, i.e. it takes one slice and expands it. I want to select multiple sides and give them different texture mappings entirely... but it won't let me! The UV thing only works for the whole object which is no use at all... I want faces to have independant properties from one another... what do I do?

General Anim8or Forum / Symmetry

This biggest problem I have with modeling is Symmetry. If I'm modeling a mecha, which tends to have a lot of raised panels and panel lines, there's no way I can get that even by hand. Splitting in two and joining the points gets very messy and tends to mess with normals. With lots of points and polygons this gets very difficult to do.

So what do I do?
