you can count me in on it too i guess....

and whats wrong with it being a 'cp' (i think you meant pc, given the weight of your arguements and your ideas are rather undeveloped, meaning you would be more prone to thinking its a ComPuter, not a Personal Computer)

In my opinion PC games are by far superior to their cnosole counterparts, and should nintendo or sony (you neglected to mention microsoft?) would want ot port the game to one of their consoles, i guess they -could-, but its highly unlikely, seeing as an 'amateur' community of 'volunteers' created the game, the quality may not be that high. they could offer to buy the rights to story/gameplay, and rebuild the graphics/etc themselves, but that would take it form us.

i rather like tehidea of making a game. persons involved will have great insight as to waht it would take to make itin the game industry, being one of, if not the greatest user of 3d animation. (sure films take up a lot in terms of animation, but the amount of games, which are -all- based on animation, far outweigh it)

try adding a sphere or box on the child bone, it'll provide a solid fulcrum on which the arm or leg will rotate on, instead of the bone. all you need is some sort of overlap,

Hi, i would consider myself a newbie

that is what is supposed to be a mg-42. i messed up on the muzzle of it, its supposed to flare out, not in, theres so lever to change the barrel, therrs no ammunition, the colors are off, the porportions aren't right... but, i had fun, and thats all that matters

Basically all you do is use boxes cylenders and spheres to get the basic shape of what you want to make. I remember my first modelling endeavor was an MG-42, not exactly an easy choice. while it did turn out... interesting, and a vauable learning experience, it ultimately failed to look anything like an MG-42.

Gun's/weapons, Mech's/Vehicles are one of the main reasons i began animating... muzzle flash has been difficult for me to make using anim8or.

Just pick something you know, and go from there.

I remember my first experiences with animator was designing the layout of a house for my design tehcnologies class..... it was suppose dot be done on paper, but i was never to good at drawing and i aske dif i could do it with anim8tor... not tha thard, all i did was get a bunch of basic shapes, put them together and put some simple textures on things, and i got an 80 ( it wasn't complete, i got lazy the last few days and fooled aorund iwht anim8or instead of working on teh project)

Hello! I'm quite an amateur animator, but i know my way well enough aorund the program to do most things iw ould want to do with it.... one thing that has for the longest time, evaded me, has been how to animate, and control a tank track, like those on the main battle tanks of todays militaries?

I realize there was a post aoubt this on the old forum, and i downloaded and view the included file. After studing it at length, it still doens't make tha tmuch sense to me.

I am basically requesting, that someone give me a quick (or legnthy, the more information teh better) how to guide to make my tank battlions rumble and roll across my screen.

from the file is een, it seemed that the tracks were on a path, and jumped back when their path was completed.... how owuld i go about attaching this motion to a chassis? make those paths/etc the children of the chassis?

please, assist me all you can... i will greatly appreciate it and hopefully entertain you with my creations at a later time...
