Yes, when I had the image updated on efectespeciale, the model wasn't finished yet. Only time this car were being made public were in a promo. As you see, is the same model, but a different render. I was gonna finish it, with environment and all.
The render posted here I made today, and yes, it took about 15 minutes to render.

The old splash screen is simple but nice. It remind us of first Anim8or versions.

Unfortunately, changing that would not help for marketing, and Steve knows that.

I told Steve some time ago. Some avi support would be gold :) (as background and texture mode, without using extern plug-ins)

Maybe the next version will have some render speeder. Unfortunately, rendering in AO take a lot of time for everybory, I have a very decent conputer, but still... I have to wait about 3 hours for a 10 seconds render.
When i make render tests, waiting time is bad, because sometimes we have dead line time.

Unfortunately, you're right, Bobert. Most people are just trying to make simple models, but this is my job and I need to push the limits. Don't wanna loose my clients :). There are also some users like $imon and Floyd who's work is also incredible.
When I decided to use anim8or for my work, I decided to get stuck with it :P. Anyway, as I say it before, anim8or is a powerfull tool, not just some 3d shape program.
