Thanks for the advice $imon, I'll keep it in mind (I'll post the post production test that brought on the question) and while I'm here i might as well post a progress render too.

Just a quick thought, I'm assuming that we can't add in things like lens flares etc. in post production because this is just supposed to be Anim8or lighting right?

Awesome, I already have a model I've been wanting to try some fancy lighting on for a bit. Mind you i still have to finish it.

(Gotta give credit to Mills here, cus it was his dragon that really inspired the design of this thing!)

That would be a transmap, i tried modeling it originally but it took way too long for what i was trying to do. Heres the transmap and another pic that i used it in.

Haha. That one tree took about three hours to render, so I think a glass forest would be a little much. Unless of course you have one of those fancy render farms.

It's Dielectric with and IOR of 2.2 i believe, and AmbientOccluder as a scene attribute.

Ps. I was playing around with glass a little more and this is what I came up with.

I was playing around with the egg plant tutorial, and I thought, why not use some attributes.
So heres the result after a 3 hour render time.

EDIT: A few more glass renders to add.
