That's weird I can't see any photos... What format are your pictures. Or do you have none and I'm missing something? maybe I just need to update my browser... Sounds cool though!

very interesting approach indianator,  sounds like a complicated procedure though.
would be great to see a working example sometime in the future.

Ya I have to admit If it worked It would probably be AWESOME! but It would take forever to make each morph for each movement. Even standing still the hood/cloak/whatever would have to be moving. Maybe Indian8or has a point? or maybe you could combine a little bit of both. Maybe Bones for large movements and morphing for small. I think Captaindrewi is right though. It will be complicated either way. I can't wait to see your finished animation!

It looks like a really good game. Some of those planets were breathtaking. I think that your texturing is probably the best part

« on: September 10, 2009, 06:14:58 am »
I tried out a glow affect a while ago. It wasn't like a lightsaber but it might help you. I created it by shining a coloured light on each object and jacking up their emissive really high, unforutanatly this is the best I got, maybe you can improve upon it. The other thing to consider would be putting a plane with a texture, parented to the blade which would give a glow effect. You also should have lights pointing out from the blade to make anything near it glow... =)

ASL Scripts / Re: needs a script that works with Lux Render?
« on: September 08, 2009, 04:28:44 am »
You might be able to ask someone to create an exporter to the luxrender format if there is one. If they can't do that with asl then someone might be convinced to create a seperate Exporter. Kind of like the Ani to Pov exporter. I don't know if anyone around here has the time to do that though. You could try asking on the Lux Render site

I am not sure if you can Render animations as an Animated gif or not, I have never tried. But you never know.

Adding texture might also make it look more realistic. I am sure you could find how to create gold textures with gimp and then add them as a texture to Anim8or.

If you do the flag morphin tutorial you should be able to apply the basic principles to make water animation but It might not look that realistic...
