you forgot to mention 1 important thing....scene size. If e.g. you want to render a wineglass , make sure the glass is about real life size in KT ( the KT grid is 1m x 1m )
This will be hard for city- / landscapescenes ( obviously)

Edit : Forgot to mention ...Nice tut :)

just to make things easier for yourself.

Place the textures in the same folder as your model.

Kt is a global illumination engine so size matters:  The KT grid is is 1 square meter. SO if, eg, you want to render a filled wineglas, rezise you model in kt to the proper dimensions. Otherwise thge materials will dissbehave.

Plz..Read the manual and browse the forum. Like anim8or KT has a very helpfull comunity but answering the same question over and over again is a bit..well...you get the idea :)

Have fun

instead of edgelooping eyes and mouth and attaching them later ..model the face...merge the faces where you want the eyes and mouth, flatten and use the inset tool to add loops. Works for me.

thats because of the translucancy and sub surface scattering.

this was MltBiPT, 375 passes, 15 hours. I tried custom settings as well but with Pm settings on medium/high it was still rendering after 21 hours.
