Haha well done, and I thought I'd have to lay down the law for this not being Anim8or related!

Good stuff by everyone!  This competition is over, and great entries by all you guys!  If you're working on one and just havent finished, keep it going and finish it up.  A finished model is always a good accomplishment.  Just because you didn't have the time to do it in the 2 weeks doesn't mean you should stop and not post it!

So now on to voting.  Get at it!

Thanks you guys, that means a lot!  I'm sure I'll still stick around.  My work from now on may not be so much in Anim8or anymore sadly, but I can easily say this program got me to where I am!

Good to hear you guys are still at work!  The initial progress looked great.  Remember you guys all have about 5 days left!  Let's see what you can make!

This is truly impressive mate.  I can't wait to play around with it a bit!

I think the face looks pretty solid right now.  The only thing on the head I'd fix right now is the hair like you said!
I would focus on the body.  Especially where limbs connect like the arms (he lacks shoulders right now) and the legs, the crotch area looks strange where it all comes together.  The wrist also isn't the smoothest.  Great first attempt though!  Keep it up with the improvements

I can't say exactly what your issue may be, but have you tried rendering it with different codecs?

Perhaps try creating a new file, import the objects and redo the animation?
That's the best I can do, that's a very odd error.

Good stuff!  I feel that it could use a bit more of an aluminum shinier feel.  Perhaps add an environment map, and up the specularity a bit.
The labels looks solid.  I'd also be interested in seeing the top of the can!

Select the mesh object and go "Build>Convert to subdivided" and you can double click and change the subdivision level.

Beautiful work mate!  Just did a bunch of UV mapping yesterday, finally got to do some texturing today.  Tedious process I must say :/
Looks like you've done a great job though!  Will the UV map be altered with the model, or will the textures just stretch slightly?

Great start by everyone!  The competition looks strong for this challenge.  I hope people keep joining and finishing these challenges, this is going great.

ASL Scripts / Re: Import Bones or Armature?
« on: May 12, 2010, 10:03:47 pm »
From my knowledge, though Anim8or has scripting now, that scripting doesn't extend very much past object mode.  There still isn't scripting for figures, sequences, etc.  You can export scenes, but I haven't seen an export plugin (or import plugin) for Anim8or yet.  You can keep looking but I believe you'll be out of luck until more improvements come along!
