Like if you have a cylinder inside another cylinder to make a hammer, but then you have the points at the end of the handle inside the head, where all they'll do during the render is slow it down.

That's the best example I can think of ATM, but I was thinking about more complex groups where it won't be so easy to just cut off the end of one mesh and make it line up right.


Or maybe have the render only focus on what it can see, and not waste time on faces that are inside/behind something.

1. The breasts I get. Those would be visible under clothes. But when you set the gender value to 0, it makes this jagged lump where his crotch would be.

Why? That's just something you have to fix when you give him clothes.


2. What human has legs like this? They look like they belong on some alien hound.

Y'know how when game makers are using 3d models, they have these sheets of textures that fit perfectly on the model?

How do I convert the surface of a 3d model into a pattern that I can use when drawing the textures, so I know where to put everything?

I have some figures that I made back when I was still using an earlier version of Anim8or.

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the projects, but when I try clicking on the file to open it directly, it crashes. But it works fine when I start up Anim8or, click Open... and select the file from there.

It's not something I couldn't work around. It just seemed like a weird glitch.

I've tried 1200 by 1000, but it took forever to render and wouldn't even play without slowing it down and skipping a few parts.

480 by 240 works well, but it seems a little small.

Anim8or has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem...

And so far, I'm lost. No more lost than I was when I first started with Anim8or though.

Anyone got any tips or know where I could find a tutorial?

I don't mean like changing the lighting in a scene, I mean like beams of sunlight falling as the clouds part, or light pouring from the pedestal of time as Link draws the master sword.

I'm planning on downloading Terranim8or sometime soon. Is there a feature for that in it?

Easier to make due to it's cartoonish nature.

I'm trying to get an aerial view of the hoenn region. I've tried taking a picture and tracing it, then extruding it into a solid object and working from there, but because of the sheer number of points, the extrude command won't cooperate.

Without any risk of screwing something up in the Wii U, of course.

I'd rather be able to make models like that myself, I'm just curious.
