Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Bug: Debug window

Whenever I start up a script and get a debug window, regardless of what the problem is, even if it's something as simple as "Must select two meshes", when I go to close the debug window, it closes Anim8or too.

Doesn't even give me a chance to save. Just shuts down the whole program.  >_<

So when I downloaded the newest version of Anim8or, I tried loading one of my old projects, MegaMan.EXE, and it crashed before it could start.

The problem being that while working in the project previously, I had deleted some objects that were supposed to be in the figure. Luckily, it only crashes the newest version. So I just booted up the older model and made a new object with the same name, deleted it from the figure, THEN deleted the object itself.

1. Is there a way to attach an object to a bone in a figure? Like a character picking up an object or wielding a sword?

2. Is there a way to animate the texture on an object? Like the screen on a TV or an I Phone?

3. Is there an easy way to remove an object and place a near identical object in it's place? (This being plan b for if the answer to question 2 is no.)

Whenever I try to load a script, it always gives me an error message.


Usually something like this.

error on line 23: undefined identifier 'attribute'
error on line 23: ';' expected
23 lines 2 errors

New here, BTW.  :)



For Anim8or...


1. When I'm making a 3d model of a face, and I try to make morph targets for different facial expressions, I always get a few squares around the mouth that look like they're in a completely different lighting or like they're made of a different material. The only way I can find to fix it is to just move surrounding points around until it looks normal. Wat do?

2. How do I import objects/figures without losing their morph targets?

3. If I were making a movie with this software, would it be better to save it as one project titled Mega Man Battle Network, or separate it into different files? Lan Hikari, MegaMan.EXE, Scilab, etc. It seems like a project file for the whole movie would take way too long to load.



As for my account... Why do I have a one letter limit for my signature? ???
