General Anim8or Forum / Re: How do I resize a texture to fit in
« on: April 06, 2016, 05:03:25 am »
I am on a laptop. Any keyboard shortcuts to help? Or maybe I should just invest in a real mouse? It is difficult to work with the one on the laptop. I just have to shrink the texture to fit into that area, then repeat for other side and front and wings.

Ok. I have learned something. I now have a basic understanding of how to use point edit to place a texture on a model. How do I get the texture to fit into the area of the model and display properly? See picture below

Apparently not that simple. I did as instructed and only end up with a cube that is only one color.I want some of the faces to be red and others to be blue.

I am trying to create a cube in Anim8or and put different colors on each side. Red and blue. Three of each. I have been playing around with it to no success including a tutorial on you tube. Anyone have any ideas.

I have a runabout with a sensor pod attached to it. I am able to get most of it except for the markings (the numbers NCC 72905 and the name “USS Orinoco” on the right and left sides of the cockpit, the front of the cockpit and the wings) to appear properly. The markings appear as multiples, not as a single marking on only one part of the model. I have attached the Anim8or file, the obj file and images here. Can anyone make sense of this? I have been working on it for months now. This is as near to the proper model I can get. Help please.

Ok. I got the texture to display, but it appears on the bottom and not the top like it should.

How do I achieve that? And are there any video tutorials out there on how to uv map in anim8or?

I can get this mesh of the farscape 1 module from farscape to turn out pretty good except when it comes to the texture for the top hull. The markings do not show up. Any help would be appreciated.
