Finished Works and Works in Progress / Project Test Chamber - 19 Continued
« on: February 01, 2010, 06:02:05 pm »
Ok so i've changed the name but the story still stands the same and i decided its time for a decent website so i've been working on this for the past few days but its far from finished yet. Also the new title is "We Own the Skies" but project test chamber PTC will still feature in the film and be a theme.  :) More to come soon!

Also i may be doing some recruiting soon if anyone is interested in modelling some objects and being apart of this project. All the background on how the project has got this far is on the site, and i'm just writing up the story outline on there as well, trying not to give away too much so that should be uploaded soon.

Here is the first render of the spacecraft done in Carrara 6. First high quality render in ambient occlusion and second with the wireframe. Its yet to be complete, Most of the detail to the rear top is complete. I've really tried to step up the level of detail and realism on this one. This is part of the Project Test Chamber Film which is being made using anim8or as well as other programs.

Add some more textures on and this should look great, i noticed the ones you have put on, and these look brill, so no real issues. As for this animation, it was just to show all the different section of the model right?

Anyway, don't worry about it man, we weren't saying it in a bad sense. Its a good model.

okay, i looked at the pictures of the clay soldiers and it does not look nothing like them.

to be honest the figure you made actually does have some resemblance, for example the very rigid stance and similar style the legs appear. And i know yours is wood but the colours are similar as well, if you see where we were coming from.

Believe it or not, yes this project is still going, its just there has been a lot of other things going on and hard to find the time for it. I've taken some time out to explain everything thats going on in the PDF below and it includes some images of the work at the moment as well as links to the music i have been making.

Enjoy!  ;)

Looks really good, you should carry on with this! Get a few renders going. Did you make the rotor blades a separate object, because if you did then you could do a bit of animation!

Just goes to show that textures mean a lot to the quality of a model. Even a basic model can look brilliant if good textures are used. You could have the most complex model but without high quality textures its nothing compared to what it could be!

« on: February 22, 2009, 03:46:51 pm »
Just to update and keep this project still alive here, i've been working recently on finishing the script and i've started to model certain objects ready for the film. A trailer preview should be on its way soon. I'm going to start up a little Production blog as well to keep you up to date and try and make some production videos for Test-chamber tv.
Remember all updates are put onto the website www.test-chamber.tk and i'll try to keep updates onto here as well, sorry no new images to show yet in this update!
