I've decided to switch to new forum software. It has a lot more features that the old UBB software that I think you'll enjoy.
If you are an existing member you'll need to reregister in order to post. When you do please don't use someone else's user name.
I'm still working out the kinks in administering it so please be patient if you run into any glitches.

Steve thanks for devoting your own time towards making this Forum, I really appriciate what you still offer for free.
maybe you should ad adds. I would not mind one bit if you added advertisments to your site if it gave you money. Another suggestion is a donate button. I don't have a credit card so i couldn't donate but i'm sure at least a small proportion of the many visitors would.
Thanks again for the new flashy forum.

Nice new forum! I took this opportunity to change my username... In the other forum I was known as SEGA. I changed to match my username on other forums... and I didn't steal anyone elses name so i'm not breaking any laws Great forum... thanks for changing Steve.

nice. I have to wonder now though. the wip forum is now functional again (as in people can reply), correct? whats the point of having anim8or.org now? weren't those forums meant to be a much needed substitute once you closed off the old WIP forum? and now both forum systems are pretty close in functionality, wont there be a needless split in userbase?
what kind of anim8or user do you expect to use this one? like, do you think the newbies will tend to post here, and the more experienced on .org?
I just think it may confuse some people
anyway, nice job once again. now if only you could give a similir upgrade to the main site...*hint hint*

This is great, thanks Steve.... I got the same idea as Kyle - it seems that now there are 2 very similar Anim8or forums, which is a little strange... Some users will use this one, others will use anim8or.org and a few people will watch both of them... In the end this will be really confusing, but I guess we will have to get used to that...

Ah, a fresh new stomping ground, a bit more "with the times." Well done, Steve, though I know you've had far more important things on which to focus your time, energy, and money. Here's to a successful launch and continued growth of the new and improved Anim8or.com website.

There are several reasons that I decided to switch forums, but basically it will serve the same purpose as the old one. Hopefully it will be easier to administer and it has better security which had started to become a problem with the UBB code. Specifically: 1. The WIP forum: You can up load images to anim8or.com and make replies to posts. File size is limited to 100k but smaller is always better. If too much is uploaded I'll have to start pruning (by date mostly) to keep things under control. And let's hope it doesn't turn into a bunch of flame wars like happened in the old one. That's the reason I prevented replies. 2. Anim8or.org is still the same, great resource. I like it because I don't control it -- it can be whatever everyone wants. One example, I don't want chat-type posts here. I want the forums to serve as a knowledge base for Anim8or users that will be useful in the future. Lots of personal messages makes that impossible. (Also you can say what you like about Ani8or and me there ) "Keep on Anim8ing!" Steve

flametiger74, I'm using a different forum software package. It's not possible to use the old look here.

I like the new look of the forums. I looked in the .com forums a few times before, mostly for some resources, but the forum looks much easier to follow now, and I figured I might as well give this forum a shot as well!
