OK, I finally got a new computer, but I have a problem!

I've searched the forum and I found people with the same problem, but everyone said if you do these certain things it will fix it. I've done them all and nothing works!

I've set Vista in compatibility mode, I'm already Admin and I've updated/uninstalled and reinstalled my graphics card driver and turned on multithreaded support and it still happens. Why? Doing anything with anim8or is frustrating as I cant see what I'm doing.  Now, my question is: Is there anything I can do to stop this.

Still appears to be a graphics card problem.  What sort of graphics card do you have, and have you checked to make sure you have the latest driver?

My Graphics card is an ' XFX 9600GT 512MB ' An my CPU is an ' AMD Athlon 7750 B.E. 2.7Ghz ' If my CPU Matters any, I've never had a computer this recent/up-to-date so I don't know.

My Graphics driver is the best I can get, ' 190.62 ' I've Uninstalled and reinstalled different versions, and the different versions from XFX and the ones from Nvidia, no different.

My Graphics card is really powerful; If can play Crysis on high at 25+ FPS I know I can use anim8or.

Vista has drawing problems because Steve hasn't gotten around to making it Vista compatible yet.

  • Set the program to Windows XP Compatibility
  • Disable Visual Themes
  • Disable Desktop Composition

And that's the best you can do. Works fine with these settings in Vista x64

Turning the Visual theme back to Windows 95/98 style works, I can at least, for the time being, switch to old style when I work on models. Will vista be supported in the next version of anim8or?

i had this same problem when i was on vissta for a breif time. i think what fixed it was just goin to point edit mode then to object mode or just rotating the screen. it was a little bit annoying but once you got those innitial lines off they didnt come back again. ive run this on windows 98 ME and XP as well and theres a few glitches like that but they arent that hard to get around. (that ive run acrossed)
