looks good sofare to me characters expression seems more serious than goofy like time fighting on streets have taken the toll leaving him in search of aside kick assistant i also imagine he has a christian bale accent ,unsure if you have seen classic toon before but the toon is called "the tick" i think it is similar to what you want and would be good ref to compare to

looks pretty good from here, too... though if I am right, the reason this fellow has no expression is because expressions should be morphed in. The base model should show his "non-expressiveness" and any emotions, etc., would come with development of the morphing, right?

yea, thats the way i do it. its easier to model when you dont have a certain goal. i just model my guys with blank faces then once thats done i can change it with morphes. that and i havent done the lips yet.

i actually watch part of the live action "the tick" i fell asleep through it though. it had that paul warburn or whats his name who played the main character. he plays the voice of Joe (the guy in the wheelchair) on family guy and it think he was the voice of the tick cartoon too.

im trying to figure out if i want animated eyebrows. i know for this to look right ill have to do some extreme morphs. i guess once i finish him then so some morph tests, i might have to re-work alot of it just so i can hit those extreme poses and expressions that i want to do. maybe when i get his hair on him he wont look so serious. i have 2 many polies by his eyes so he looks kinda sad right now ill fix that later. the cube and the eyebrows r just markers so i know where 2 put the ears in. heres where im at now.

edit:

i finished his head im not sure if im going to reshape it or not. but i think now i can put some hair on his head.

edit 2:

im just screwing around. this isnt going to be his hair. but it was fun doing.

GREAT PROGRESS SO FAR!!!
This should be very interesting to see a goofy superhero Cheesy Cheesy
About the eyebrows, I think they should be animated in order to give him some goofy expressions.

Does he have a name yet?

The ear it's self looks ok, but it's position is just a bit off. It's not centered with the nose on the y-axis.

i havent worked on this a whole lot. but i was actually just messing with gimp. im trying to make a noir type pic and im trying a few different ways. im just starting on it and i would just like some help cause i really dont know much about noir except for the shadows play a big part in it. heres what i made it wasnt hard at all. (besides the fact that gimp crashed on me about 20 times.)

Noir simply comes from the word black.  It refers mostly to film noir or noir comics.  Basically they're black and white or grayscale, but there are a lot of blacks with the white's acting as highlights, etc.  The lighting is usually strongly from one direction, giving deep shadows on the other side, and not a ton of light.  You can google images to help out, but basically I would do it in your light setup, with one main light coming from a particular side that gives the face a dramatic feel.

yea im gonna have to look a few things up. i know different hues make a big difference. i dotn know a thing about lighting but i think if i get the colors right (for the black and white) it will turn out ok. im just gonna keep tinkering with it untill i almost know what im doing.
