Neirao,

Attached is a script to do what you requested.  It will select the points of any edges and/or faces that are selected and de-select the edges and/or faces that were selected.

Edges and Faces are both handled by this single script.  I originally wrote a script for Faces and another script for Edges, then realized that there should not be a conflict having them in the same script.

Enjoy!

Thanks to Steve we ( actually you guys ) can make a lot of interesting scripts  ( I wonna learn to write scripts too )Smiley
But neirao, you can do it without script, as I told you before and I think it's more quick ( so finaly, Anim8or have this "functione" Grin)
Select edges and just switch to points, as you already know . And the other is from faces to points like this: select a face, hit "t" shortcut ( or edit=>select=> select face edges ) and then switch to points Wink

First , I don't speak english well too Cheesy Second, I am very lazy Grin . But I think evrybody can understand what I mean. If you mean the pictures I posted, I think I know what you mean. The third pic, yes ? If so then , there is one thing : when you ahve selected an edge and then you switch to points, the edge is still showed selected ( white ) but actually the points are. Never mind, you understood and I don't think there will be a problem if some newbie will read this. One is sure : we have learn some english here  Cheesy

bumping this " old" topic.  But is it possible to have a script that lets you select edges ( q or Q)  and than select the faces ?
( select two rows of edges wityh q or Q , script selects the inbetween faces)
This would come in very handy whilst UV mapping.
