Well, since my opinion has been asked... I think that the hats would be very nice for ugly maiden, because they are just that, ugly. I'm sure in the time period however, they looked stylish and good. Its all a matter of perspective. What it ultimately comes down to is, what can be modeled sucessfully, and what fits in the best. Since I am not a very good modeler, I think it is up to someone with more experience to say what can realisticly be done. (I do like the drawing of the blonde in the pretty blue dress though.) I got a new microphone. I think it's good-quality, I'm not that knowledgeable in this area. It's very good at voice recognition. It's better recording quality than my previous microphone anyways. My voice is clearing up. I will be able to get recording, but I'm still not sure if you want British or American for the accent. I can do both of them, and see which one you like. IP: Logged |

The gameboy looks nice. You might want to post some wireframe shots or share the file so people can take a look to make sure everything's all right. IP: Logged |

Looks good, but we would like to see the wireframes. Is the gameboy subdivided? I'm fair at texturing, I might be able to help you out a little. Good news, I just wrote an ending for the script that I think I'll stick with. I just have a few touch-ups, and writing the fight scene, which I think I can handle, before I'll be finished and post it and finish this sentence. <gasps for air> Syziph says if there's any models hard to skin manually he can try to set them up in Weightpainter, his weightpainting program. But it's still a work in progress and might not work precisely right. Also, Mr. Smeagol, he says that as long as we don't change the vertex numbers, the weightpainting on the horse will stay the same, which makes sense. Exporting to UVMapper will change vertex numbers and mess it up. So we have to figure out a way to texture it without changing vertex numbers or probably, run it back through Weightpainter. Ta-ta for now, old chaps! Theater375, that British sample sounds pretty good right now. Try reading some lines from the script with PP's personality so I can hear how that sounds. Perhaps Benney or feeg or one of the other Britishers might be able to give you some pointers? But it sounds good, now that I actually listen to it, I thought that I didn't like it but I do. i will post the wireframes tomorrow, im cleaning up on the extra polys i didnt end up using. and no it is not subdivided. to texture it all i did was use the material editor with different colors in each faces but soem colors mite b of r too shiny or not shiny enough. if u could help P_R7 i would grately apreciate it and that is very good news about the script any word on including my half done human model. Madcrazy: crits on the human. The shoulder/bust area is odd-looking. The arms are look like a rounded cube with extrusions, though the form is pretty good. The legs are good except at the bottom the calf seems to curve inwards... might be just the angle. I think the waist-line could be slanted forward. That's how I usually do mine. The feet aren't as bad as you think, just the toe area is too flat. And of course you forgot the anti-aliasing. It's nice though, good and detailed. The legs are good, a lot of attention to the muscles. The waist on up generally needs work. Thanks for the vote of confidence! I'll do my best! Startrekfan, sorry we don't use your site anymore. MimoMovieMaker, you're right. You can go through and make a list of what's been done, and when I put up the new script you or I can go through it and look for stuff that needs to be done. You could forward the list to Theater375, I think she has a place for it on the Cabspace site and it's easier to get to there than at the Yahoo site. IP: Logged |

Hey Benney, do you still have my voice sample on your compy? Because I noticed it wasn't put up on the Yahoo site, and on accident I deleted it. *looks imberrased* Also, I noticed that on the "todo" list, there was some pictures mentioned. If I get the art from someone, I can frame it. Here's some examples: Some more basic frames: (I'm the person to the far right [actually, that was taken a year ago]). And some more elegant ones: (the images in the frames arn't that great, and don't worry, I'm NOT a dictator-lover, these images were being used for a computer game project.) http://www.uploadfile.info/uploads/582342bfae.jpg talk to you all later, [This message has been edited by Sunflash (edited 05-02-2006).] IP: Logged |

It sounded splendid! There was a part of your soundclip where you mentioned you were probably slipping back into American, well listen to my soundclip (when it gets posted). I actually DO slip into American. I was going to delete the entire thing, but my older sister heard it and said it sounded fine... But I still am not convinced. IP: Logged |

hey madcrazy, you have too many unnecesary polies on your gameboy, I would like to fix it if you allow me ![]() Does gameboy has any textures ? Also you uploaded the mic without textures - plz upload textures ? I can fix the mic model as well... theater - your british sounds cool to me Sunflash - I dont think you should change your voice to suit the character you will do (consultant). I think MP3D and benney can do it much better and with more quality with their software... Am I right benney ? IP: Logged |

Sunflash Junior Member |
quote: Oh boy... Smeagol, yes, I thought about that fact (That Benny and MP3D could edit the voice to their liking.). The first part of the soundclip was in my normal voice. Then I spliced in all the lines of the consultant in fake voice. I thought about doing the lines again in normal voice. Maybe I will. IP: Logged |

quote: I am sorry to say that we cannot create an accent using software, that is down to the actor, however we can create different effects that can turn one voice into 2 or more or give the voice that robotic element. Even create a fake sounding female voice but the accent is down to pronuounciation which is something that is even out of the realm of the top pros. quote: Eh... I thought I had reviewed it somewhere... oh well. You have the Croatian accent of course, Dark Saruman. You do a good job reading English better than I would do reading Croatian, but you need to think about the lines and say them a couple times before recording them. Then record them again. And again. And save all the clips. This is a problem that we'll all have to deal with. In real life people stutter, mess up their words (me especially) but not in Hollywood. The lines have to sound natural That was in bold so everyone would see it. Also your emphasis or rythm, I forget the word, is a bit off. Each language has a certain tempo. Sometimes you, and Mr. Smeagol, emphasize the wrong syllables. Not your fault, but something you'll have to work on just the same. Your acting is pretty good. Technical problems... I think your mic is too close to your mouth, it's clipping. Sunflash, great sample! You remind me a bit of my cousin.. That's not quite how I had imagined the Consultant, but I like it better, I think! It had me laughing! You added one word to the script. MMM, can we hear a sample? Madcrazy, I plan to do Smidgeon in my normal or in a Brooklyn accent... he seems the American personality. Then there's the emmissary, the screaming people, etc. What is your nationality? In reference to that running conversation on Yahoo, will you be using stock sound effects, foley, or both? Foley's a lot of work and expense, I guess... Still working on the fight scene... or not working on it... but it's not done yet is what I'm trying to say... IP: Logged |

quote: Actually, I think it's more "Lack of practice". The english accent part of my clip... if you can even call it that, does get really low at times, I think it was my face moving away from the microphone. I definently agree with you though, we should paractice each line MANY times, then choose the one that fits best. Another thing, something that would REALLY help in voice recording, is to know what the character before you says. It's a bit hard to explain. But I think if, say, the first sentance of a scene was spoken by Smidgeon, then the person playing Smidgeon should record the sentance, post it in a folder on the Yahoo site. Then if Prince Charlie is supposed to say the next sentance, then the person playing him would post the next sentence. This would REALLY help, because you could hear he tone in the previous characters voice. This would help people know how they should say their lines. One of the problems with this approach is that doing the recording could take a lot longer. But we could do several scenes at once to speed the time up. Anyways, there's some things to chew on P.S. Yes, I think my voice does need depening. I'm going through my 14 year old "voice change". So that could be why it sounds like I'm straining my voice. IP: Logged |

PR i am of brazilian nationality. was born there but i've lost most of the accent, or atleats no one can tell I am brazillian when i talk to them. I've lived in the boston area since i was like 7 so that's wat i sound like i guess but i do pronouciate my r's as in park or harvard ...hehe and did u want a voice sample from me? i didn't know who you were talking about. If yound i guess i could do one. but liek my mic isn't the best in the world. so i coudl try with that and do a new one when I'm at my uncle's house some weekend. He's got a nice mic. well yeah there ya go. and yeah sunflash i remember those days of the voice change seems liek only last year... oh wait! it was heheheh. i know how u feel man. I just read the other thread (Anim8or Movie Progress) and after reading the 'putting people's vioces on the internet thing I thought I should bring this up. In any credits or refrenses to actors names in the movie or if we had a movie website would people be comfatable in using their real names or for example J. Bloggs becuase I think using username wouldn't look good especialy in the end credits of the movie. I realise we are a long way of all the credits n stauff so i thought i'd bring it up now rather than later :-)! MIMO IP: Logged |
