Hi Simon! I am the editor (well one of them now)! Glad to have you helping me. I really only use WMM. I bet loads of people think that it's not good but with the XML codes and custom DDls you can get some great effects. PS: Do you hang around the WMM.net forums? IP: Logged |

For slapping things together, cutting them apart, etc., and also compressing, WMM is great. For things like compositing and exporting pure .avi, which are things we probably won't do on this movie, ZS4 rules. FX aren't really necessery. I think we should design the logo after we have a movie. IP: Logged |

give me awhile to get used to anim8e and I'm in. If I can finish the project I started with good enough results I might be helpful its a great idea, and sounds fun (full length? like.. movie theter length? hours and such? :P we could publish it) IP: Logged |

MimoMovieMaker, maybe we should use more than one editing package. Also, do you know a tutorial that will tell you how to create DDLs (do you mean DLLs?) for WMM? Also, do we have someone that can help us know what to say on the site that hosts our movie. We need to encourage them to download it (it will be quite big). By the way, so we need someone who specialises in advertising to help us. Shall I also work on a anim8ed logo for the anim8or community, like I was talking about earlier? And another thing, do we know of a way that, as an option for them, users can pay for a DVD or CD with our movie on it? Maybe they are on a dial up connection or they want to watch it on their TV but havn't got s DVD burner. Also about the render, we shouldn't just render in TV size, think about future technolagy (Do you have High Definition TV in America). Because if we are going to publish this film, it needs to be future proof of the BBCs high standards (do CNN have high standards?). And finally we need to remember that even if the movie is free, that doesn't mean that we can use it in our movie - don't forget about copyright. Also, are we going to not allow users to do certain things to our movie, such as edit it? They definatly shouldn't be allowed to sell it for money as that is not fair. Very well thought out, sambrown. We have HDTV in the US to a certain extent but I don't know much about it. Does it need a special format? Of course we'll put in something about copyrights. Most of us already put copyrights or watermarks on everything we put up online. You can think of ideas, and I guess you can work on the logo, but I think we should hold off until the movies done. I hate having the wrapping paper but not the present, if you know what I mean.
quote: I volunteer. I like writing, and my Dad is in cover design, which is a bit like advertising. Also since I wrote the script I should be able to write convincingly about how good and funny it is. Startrekfan, we could render that way; but how would the quality suffer? I haven't found out how to do it yet at all. IP: Logged |
