I agree. But my parents(and iself, too) are little afraid of chatting over the internet since none of us can see who is on the other computer. So, let's make a deal: we only discuss this project or 3D things. Just to keep eachothers safety. My msn is: startrekfan001@gmail.com

First of all, we need a script so we know what we're doing.

I drew a concept art for the dragon who doesn't smoke, where do i put it? I don't have anywhere to host it, do i just send it to startrekfan to put on his website?

I think the castle should be old walls with a scyscraper inside. The serfs can live in little huts though.

STfan002: like the castle, but i think the walls should be higher.

Codfish, why is your sword handle PURPLE?

Nice landscape, anim8or dude, that looks like the texture in the anim8ed "larva" fall.

STfan001, i can probably paint some flat backgrounds to be used both as the background and an envirnment map.

I don't have msn and i'm not allowed to chat. now what?

I volunteer to write my script.

That's all, folks!

Good! I just think pruple looks.. wrong, somehow on a lightsabre- silver or something mettalic. Red works though. No biggie.

I have sent my pictures to startrekfan and am working on my script.

Codfish, nice Model! only it needs more detail, like a heavy jeweled rim, heavier base, and a better texture.

Berney, i just sent my concept of the dragon to startrekfan, he will hopefully put it on his site, but i assume one dragon isn't a lot to work with, eh?

I wrote like two scenes on my script! I don't really have any robots in it though...

Any image is better than none. Mind you I can't seem to find the website url that you mention so I can have a browse.
BTW - I have a rather large website of my own http://www.Homesequencers.net of which I am quiet willing to dedicate a page or two to showing jpg Images of the parts for the film and provide the ability to download any anim8or files no larger than 2mb. If any of you think this is useful then please let me know and I'll see about setting up a page for just this purpose. The pages will be updated daily with any new parts or images that I recieve.

I did it! YEEHAH! its now online, just go to the main site, www.hetcalandlyceum.com/computerclub/index/index.php?id=nieuws
and you will find a button with "an8proj" on it. There your work will be saved.(I just found out that my school(which happens to be my server) has disabled any type of online file-upload. So you're gonna have to either send to me or post your images or scripts, cause i can't make them instantly upload.

Hi all of you budding film makers. I have just created a short atmospheric tune that you could use. Keep in mind that it is not a theme but that bit of of atmospheric music you hear in the background to enhance a point in the film. I will be turning short pieces both in this format and theme format for you guys to ponder over and let me know what you think. This way it will give me an idea of which way to go with regards to creating the music for the film.

You can download theme the tune from here.

That sounds great, the more online file space, the better! Only we should have links on the bottoms of the pages to make it easier to navigate between this topic, stfans site, your site, etc.

I have written about the first third of my script, it's making my little borthers laugh, at least! Do you want me to upload what there is of it so you can get an idea of what there is to do?

Startrekfan, sorry, i didn't know you were the same two persons- i mean i didn't know you were one people- i'm trying to say it's a good thing you are one person, i was having a hard time telling you apart. Thanks for uploading my images, i'm working on more to eat up your file space.

Anim8ordude, there is a forest in my woods, I had it pictured a little different. The heroes ride through it at night- it's lit by moonlight and thier lanterns- dark and creepy- a sinister beast lurks in the darkness- which reminds me, who wants to model a puppy? I need a small, cute puppy.

I think I will send you people the script. I'm having trouble coming up with a title, perhaps you guys could read it and help me.

Codfish, i don't have any textures- I think a modification of the bronze material in the manual would make nice gold, and then when there is a scene for it you could generate some environment maps.

Benney, I'm in the process of downloading your tune- by the way, are you the Ian Bennet that sequenced all those songs on vgmusic?
Nice music! The strumming thingy seemed a little out of sync in places- but I liked it. I don't know much about music in movies, like where to put it in my script... perhaps you could educate me?

I just sent the script. Perhaps you all could hold off on the characters until i have some art for them?

Don't worry about think where you can put the music in the script because the music you will hear from now until the film is finnished will be a series of improvisations set to be edited so that they can in someway be placed in the film.
As regards linking between websites this will not be a problem in my case and so the anim8or page/s will contain links to all site that contain anything regarding this project.
BTW - I am not quiet sure what you mean by vgmusic but my name is Ian Bennett and I have been writing music for a long time now (about 22 years 'on and off').

OK-dokay. I do have a few place in the script where I put notations like "music up" and stuff like that. Also I have space for two montages. I think that's the word.

http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/sony/ps1/index-gr.html You're under Metal Gear solid as well as other places on the site.

The script is up! Thank you, Startrekfan!

Ohmygod that is true i wrote the entire site in dutch!!! I'm gonna write it again in english, when its done, you must click on the logo of my school in the upper-left of your screen.(be aware that the best browser to view it is mozilla firefox.) The logo is turning around, it looks a bit like it says "JOL". It'll be up soon. After you click it, you come to the english page.

Hey everyone. I've just had an idea. I could set up a 'Yahoo' Group site that we could use to both chat via email and upload/download anything such as images, animator files, audio and video files and if it runs out of room you just create a sub group that acts as a storage point for the excess. Also I could set it to members only, this way only those working in the film can upload/download and so everything is safe and it is totaly free. Plus there is the 'yahoo' messenger with which we could have one to one chats (i'm already a member of that system and I have a group site in relation to my website and don't have any problems at all with it.
let me know what you think and if i get a good response I'll get on to it straight away.

I like it! Needs a little more thunder, and for the final version we need the synchronized sort of more exciting ending. If you understood that gibberish.
I think the idea of starting the site is a good one, I'm not sure what my parents will say though.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

The timing is a little off in 'A Dark tower some where' and definitly off in 'anim8or01', but as I have said in a previous post, these are essentialy quick improvisations and need cleaning up and remixing.

I didn't overdo it with the sound effects because once the film is finished I can re-write the piece so that it is then synchronized to the film and so the length of each section will then (hopefully) be correct and the effects will be placed in without overtaking the film.

For those interested, I have several software sequencers that I use but both pieces were created using 'Sonar4 Producer Edition'

I am still open to your views about the group site idea which I think would be a very good way of being able to share the bits pieces of the film with the rest of the collaborators such as images, tiles, script ideas and so the list goes on

Thanks again for your comments.
