Again, this movie is a great idea. Hopefully there will be more and more group Anim8or projects like this in the future.

I've been working on the script and I've wriiten everything up to the dragon fight, just have'nt posted it. Ignore the table of contents, the ending is going to be drastically different.

I can whip up a list of scenes that need to be done pretty fast.

Hey codfish, i had an idea of having a robot before i read your post- only I visualized a walking suit of armor that said "I am a robot" cause aromor is metal- and the visor could glow- er sumting. I guess it looks like I'm rejecting all your ideas. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be mean or anything.

It's great and would be a nice addition to the group site

I am also in the process of uploading texture/tile files to the group site and hopefully we'll have some member upload anim8or files on board aswell soon for other members to download.

Hopefully all this will help in the creation of our goals.

BTW - I have also taken the liberty of uploading the script files (version 1 and 2) to the group site (hope you don't mind)

SALES! Now there's a touchy subject. The problem with selling a project like this is the first thing you'll be looking at is copyright issues and then who gets paid what etc, etc. NO! personaly I think that everyone should look at experience (especially when quiet a few of the members of this project are still at school)because it is experience that will gain you the true rewards. Also, if we decide to try selling the film, how do we need to the chaps who created Anim8or.
In my experience as a musician it is better to chalk the first few as experience because when time comes to create the big one you'll know that you can do it and get it right pretty much first time. After all I have written over 30 songs and sold only 2 but but they are 2 good ones which gives people a good impression of me for any future projects. I think you should leave that one Nerd (I am).

I have no intention of selling the finished product. Please read what 'Nerd' wrote in his latest entry and you will see that I was against his thoughts of creating a production for sale just as you are.

The piece of music 'A drak tower somewhere' that i wrote is exactly how you describe. It is where the two people meet in the tower to discuss the kidnapping (according to the script). One is waiting in the tower whilst the other walks up to the tower and then enters (then the discussion begins.

1.Since I have a microphone headset on my computer, I would like to do the voice of either Wolf or Steed or any other minor Character in this film(preferably Wolf or Steed though).

2.While recording the voice should I make every line a file... every chapter a file... or just the whole thing ONE BIG file?

3.I know this is asking a little much, but, I would like to do the voice of PC, IF i dont get the part of a minor chracter, because I am only at the age of 12.
Though this part could also go to STF001/2 because he is also young(i think i have the right username)and he has contributed a lot to this movie.

We have forgotten completely about voice casting! Thanks, codfish! I had pictured PC as 16-19, and steed only says one word so far. Perhaps you should upoad a sample of your voice somewhere?

Benney Startrekfan, I need to redo those scene descriptions- I wrote the scene like they were in the middle of a conversation. I could change it, if absolutely necessary. That's a cool song, though. Do I hear a crow or bird?

I have most of the script. I'm struggling with the ending. KEEP IN MIND THAT THE EXISTING SCRIPT IS ONLY PART OF THE FIRST DRAFT. I will be changing lines and maybe parts of scenes.

My script has kinda departed from the original ideas: The dragon does smoke, the heroes use real swords, the Ugly Maiden and PC don't fall in love after all, there isn't so much technology- etc. I HAVEN'T written in any robots yet, There might be some walking suits of armor in the castle.

That's all I can think of right now. I have got a ton of concept art to upload. Seeya!

Glad to see you are utilizing the groups abilities for upload/downloading files.

I think just a short sample of each person's voice will do for now within the group this way we can hear what we have. If any of you who have not yet joined the group but wish to submit you vocal sample (or anything else) to the group then please just send me the audio recording etc to ian.bennett73@ntlworld.com and I will upload it to the group site for you.

P_R7 If you wish to create edited versions of the script just upload the edited versions as 'Project1' 'version 3' or '4' etc and so on in the script files section.

BTW - (this is up to you all) I feel it might be a good idea if you picked one short point in the whole film where almost everyone is there, and create that section (anima8or and audio files) as a short tester of which I can place the voices in with the video and any required vocal effects etc so we can all have a listen and see exactly where we are going (this is just an idea)

just a little word of advice here from a seasoned musician.

If you want to create an audio sample (a quick introduction about yourself) then you will need to find someone with a decent audio setup.

The reason I say this is because if you use a PC that only uses the built in soundcard the recording quality will not be at a high enough standard to use. This is because a built in sound card is primarly desighned for playing audio not recording and so the sample will be plaged with static noises created by the internal activity of your PC and cannot be improved.

If you know of a musician who records external audio to his/her PC then it would be a good idea to ask if you could create the demo and any future recordings using their PC.
