Odeon Cinema Screen (WIP)
3D Joe Wiltshire:
Well, i've never really finished everything, but i plan to this time, i've just decided to try modelling an Odeon Cinema screen (not just the screen, the whole room) since i'm pretty sure i can do it, and it should be pretty fun to do, attached is all i have so far.
C+C is welcome
headwax:
Great start. Bevelling the edges on the seat would help to make it look more real. Also subdividing the top part of the seat to smooth it.

Yeah, i saw that before, really amazing, Luckily i'm only making one screen, not the whole cinema (phew)
Thanks for the help.
ENSONIQ5:
A tip from one who still bears the scars of building a cinema: Keep your chairs as low poly as you can get away with. Once the chair is duplicated hundreds of times the poly count can get very big very quickly. As headwax says, bevelling the edges of the seats would improve their appearance considerably, and smoothing the edges should give them a softer appearance. It might be worth modelling just one chair and bringing it into your scene many times, as this would allow you to easily adjust the complexity of the chair later to control the poly count and render times.
It looks like you are off to a great start, and I look forward to seeing how this unfolds.

Same here, i've never actually had the commitment to finish anything before... we shall see... I have already slightly become bored with it... but i will attempt to prevail.
