You could also subdivide your model to give a more smooth surface.

Thanks falloffalot:) Actually, most of it is subdivided, I just didn't do it to the head as the material doesn't look quite right.(the color between the eyes gets pinched, is there a way to fix that?)

falloffalot:
I use a UVMapper with Photoshop or BlackSmith to texture all my models depending on how complex they are.
Not to sure about the pinching, maybe if you added your colours after subdividing may help.
