[ COMPLETE ] Challenge #7: Old and Rusty.
3D Joe Wiltshire:
My late entry, just spent a few hours on a random Idea I had.
Not great, I know, but since I got something done, thought I might aswell enter it.
Sea + Island Made in terranim8or
Textures found on google images.
So here it is, made in a few hours of testing and slight refining:
"The Sea Of Rust"
headwax:
Wonderful rusty work so far. Tof fine boat maybe you could shell out around the portholes to make some tickness er thickness. 3d I like the concept of the rusty ocean? :)
Kevin well what can we say? Did you try that trick of copying the layer then gausian blur then change layer parameter to s'creen' then adjust with opacity? Works a charm. OPther thing is you could try upping the camera focal length to 20 then dragging it away to maintain the field of view but reduce that forgrouncd distortion err foreground distortion (last time I buy an acer ' they can;t spell :)
Ps I'm halfway through a twenty minute render an just noticed I forgot to subdivide a mesh ahaha.
Having the multiple renderer thread butt0n ticked makes a huge difference let me tell you
headwax:
Here's mine so far, I've been working on a kids' book, so this meshs have come in handy for this
first image is 1000 wide, second is 2000 which is the size I rendered it at
mesh textures are all about 2048 by 2048
cheers
falloffalot:
Nice work all.
Still not sure about that pile of sleepers Kev, the texture still looks a bit too uniform and a little stretched,
being at the front it's the first thing you see, anyway; I do really like that way you have given the picture depth.
Not sure if it's camera angle or your tinkering with the AE but it looks great.
Tof:
New windows and a few details more (not yet correctly textured) and time, time, time...
Time is the veritable challenge!
