[ COMPLETE ] Challenge #7: Old and Rusty.

<< < (9/12) > >>

Tof:
Nice Works progress everybody! (Hey $imon, don't give up...)
Kubazz, very nice UV Map, the one I made don't fit so good, do you have some tricks to give for newbies like me?
Mills, I like your focal blur (and your whole scene), I tried to make this effect (in Artweaver and in ACDsee too, with my image render and the depht channel) but I cannot get it ??? I have to try again a next time and perhaps to use an other painting software!
For me, is it already TIME UP (going to the sea with my family tomorrow, on holliday is no computer allowed!), and here is my final render (with a few bad unexpected effects...).
I was very happy to join this challenge.
It has been usefull to get some practice in UV mapping, and painting UV map.
Thank you Floyd86 for this great theme.

headwax:
wow that's some great work there!

nicely finished and presented tof ' -how did    you   do the  reflections - makes a big difference

indian8or the light gives a lot of  prescence. Maybe you could have a bit darker shadow   under the front tyres to make it   sit   better?l

no wonder $imon and  3d  geek chickend out (just jokin' $imon and 3d :) sorry you   can't   finishe the work)

kreator and   drewi that graffitti is an  excellent touch. the woood looks real! But the shed is floating?

picky picky headwax ;0

falloffalot:
Some really great work everyone.
Kev, Drewi that scene is looking very nice and some great texturing, the graffitti is a very cool touch. Are the little clumps of grass trans maps?

ENSONIQ5:
I'm assuming Headwax is referring to the crane, which looks as if it hovers above the deck, but this is no doubt due to the crane's pivot being hidden.  Seriously well done Kev and Drewi, overall a really well composed and executed image, and the sleepers are indeed a triumph.  The only very minor thing I could pick on is the foreground drums texture, which looks a little pink.

Well done to everybody so far, there are some amazing things happening here!

headwax:
ahh thanks Tony, I see now

I was having an escher moment where I was seeing the crane as a shed that was on the ground instead of being on a 'truck' base. A trick of the light.

My apolgies Drewi and K. :)
