Run cycle for a Cre8or game I'm working on

(1/2) > >>

SirBonovox:
Here's a run cycle I'm working on for a game I'm making with Cre8or 3d.  It's really low poly and I haven't textured it yet, I just wanted something I could start using in Cre8or to test movements and camera tracking.  It was done completely in Anim8or.  Let me know what you think.  Thanks!

I'd say it was a good job, only feeling is if he leans   further forward he will fall on his face!

Hard to tell regards the foot slippage as he is basically running on the spot.

Quite good considering that you are just testing it.

The real test will, however, come when you make a proper mesh and rig it because then only the deformations in the mesh and movements of joints will be more visible.

However, the overall movements, stride, coordination of arms and legs are really good and i feel its only a matter of time before you come up with a finished walk cycle.

Also, for games you will need different stances for different topographies, the current stance looks like the fellow is running up a slope.

good job.  Keep us posted.

SirBonovox, good to see you back and animating!
The animation looks pretty good right now.  My main critique is that when the foot comes forward it seems to stop abruptly for some reason.  I feel it should be lifted more and placed down as he runs, as it seems jerky.  Some vertical motion of the body would be good too.  Well done so far, smart idea working with a simple rig first!

If you look at the related video, he tested it on a Halo 3 Beta spartan. I am curious to how it will look in a full scene animation.
