Difficult to get started - too many new concepts

That's strange.  Perhaps it's an NT 4 error.  I downloaded it just now, and it worked fine.  I'm running on xp.

Yes, I have had video problems once downloaded in the past too. You might have to download Dvix on the Internet. This might play the file. I think's it's free. But check first

I went through lesson 1 of the eggplant. Too many new things to learn. A smaller first lesson would be better and would not drive away people who find this complicated. I will manage but I feel it is heavy. I also don't have so much time, so it would be better to put the lessons in smaller bits for people like me and many others.

In my opinion, compared to the level of difficulty required for truly "real-world" models, the eggplant totorial is about as simple as can be.  It provides an excellent introductiion to basic modeling tools and concepts, and is just challenging enough to make it feel like you've accomplished something once you've completed it.  Anything more simplistic would be boring.
