ohhh TT my sweet ol' friend... I dunno how I missed this one! I think it was during one of my multiple-weeks-long comatose times...

I think the 3D could do well, but the focus should be as commented previously... Developing highly stylized imagery, and bringing a significant distinction between the characters and the scene. Color and light/shade contrasts should be very strong in my opinion.

Considering your 2D art quality and all, I do believe you have the eye for it if you train it into the 3D "focus."

Keep it up! Remember, criticism is meant to be overcome! :P
