My Ship-So Far

hihosilver:
Have you searched for tutorials yet?  My guess is you haven't.
Please search yourself before you ask questions.  When you ask questions sometimes we have to search for you.  It's much more work, when there's already information out there, all you have to do is look.  Here's a tutorial I found using Google, which can be your best friend.
So please try to find out yourself first.  As for metal textures, they give examples in the anim8or manual.  You can also add slight environment maps to your materials to make the more realistic (give fake reflections)

I have read the manual, but when I click on UV it comes up wiht this yellow box. What ever that is? But hey, thanks for your help

hihosilver:
You can do very basic UV mapping in anim8or with the 'UV' tool.  The box does basic planar mapping on the object.  So you can rotate it and resize it to fit on the object, though you can't get very detailed, and the image will only be projected from one angle instead of wrapping around.
With the newest version of anim8or (v0.96a) there's an improved UV tool where you can create more than just planar maps, but you can use spherical maps and cylindrical maps as well: here's the description from the .com site:

--- Quote ---Improved UV tool.  Each shape in an object can define it's own UV widget that does planar, cylindrical, sperical or normal projecton of texture coordinates onto that shape.  You can interactively move, rotate and scale the widgent in UV edit mode.  Also UV widgets are saved with the shapes so that the UV tool doesn't force you to restart from scratch wach time you use it.
--- End quote ---

Once I finish the Half Life 2 Funny Movie (as I am doing a model and a house) i will use this ship (Called the Universal Republic Starship Victory) in a story that I will create for animation. About a great war in a peacful part of the galaxy that involves all aliens and ships etc...
