Blender 3d animation
dwsel:
Hello again after a while ;)
As I mentioned lately I had to make 3d animation for modeling course at my university. So here are the results:
'How things are made in Blender' by dwsel: or http://www.vimeo.com/12006288 ;)
neirao:
hi dwsel,
short but cool animation, ;)
...previus i think then are a animation made in Blender 3D,
but very cool, you used Anim8or!!
$imon:
Haha that is what I thought neirao, I guess the animation is a hint towards the 3D program blender?
Simple animation and nice rendering though, dwsel, as usual!
A comment I have is that the titles take a lot longer than the animation itself, really try to shorten the titles by doing them faster or something ;) Or make the animation longer of course, but try to keep it proportionate!
Good job though, Poor ball that got blended!

confusion was main point ;)

We were told to use Blender so I made kind of protest by calling animation like it was about modeling in Blender, but using Anim8tor instead. As for Blender itself - no pun intended - nice, useful app with terrible GUI ;)

1:02 animation, 1:08 titles... Well... :P Background music was entry in One Synth Challenge on KVR forum http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=285953 and I liked the second part of music so I intentionally stretched titles.
Animation is so short because it's fully raytraced (every single element there uses ART attributes). This caused single 360x480 frame to render 20 min average on single core. I've decided for 10 second animation (50fps to reduce strobing during fast movements). I had to render not 500 but 640 such frames to blend liquid colour in postpro. I also rendered another pass (500 frames, avg. 3 min each). I simply made liquid red and applied gradually in subtract mixing mode to make this effect even stronger than I got on first rendering. I had to render whole animation on 3 computers (4,5 cores) to finish it before deadline...
Anyway... I like creating stills a lot more - less time spent on rendering more time to do art :) Postprocessing and applying passes in videos is very tiring for me. Almost like solving hundreds of unexpected problems coming out from everywhere...

That made my day, dwsel. :D I thought it would be a Blender animation, then I clicked. :P
Good job.
