Shoo Fly!(Animation with my first skinned cartoony character)
Josmic8or:
Hey everyone!
Here's a funny short animation I made about a fly that keeps bugging a guy.

I mainly made it to experiment on animating bones in scene mode
Below are some clips from it

It's qutie well done for your first. HOwever, I'd suggest working on maybe your walk cycles (a very good tutorial at http://www.idleworm.com/how/anm/02w/walk1.shtml) and your character movement. Also, during the scene with him running I noticed a little piece of the leg didn't come out with the rest. Good work so far. though.

Hmmmm... now I give Josiah a big "A Plus" grade for full use of the anim8or!
Walking sequences do take a bit of brain-power to sort out for realistic movement across a plane, but as Jos said, he was working on bone-movements, etc., and not all aspects.
Any time someone makes a full go of the program, and puts forth a complete, scripted show like this, he or she should get some sort of "Blue Ribbon," brownie-button, or something.
That video was loads of fun to watch, Jos!
ENSONIQ5:
It seems a relatively small percentage of Anim8or's actually animate anything (strangely), most being content with still modelling or game content production, and only a very small percentage of those people actually "complete" anything, so you can be proud of this achievement if only for this reason. Certainly there is room for improvement with the walk cycles and the weight painting, but the models themselves are well made and the facial expression animation is truly excellent. Most importantly in my opinion you have demonstrated a clear ability to "tell the story", with nice little touches like the bin shaking when the hero falls in. This "directorship" is a far less common ability than you may think and I truthfully look forward to seeing more from you as your skills and understanding of character rigging improve. Absolutely fantastic work mate, love it!
$imon:
yes great work! lovely animation and funny story. The music fits well too..
Maybe you couldve made the street a bit more 'cartoony' to fit the characters instead of a real-life texture. But just a minor note about the background doesnt influence the animation as a whole ;) Great job!
ensoniq&arik: As you know I only make still images with Anim8or, I hope you don't blame me for that, I have more fun creating a still image and try to get the best out of Anim8or that way.. different people use it for different purposes and both can be great, like Josmic8ors animations show!
