Either one's fine, Gyper. ;)

But I love the final result. :D
The first one does actually look more realistic, and maybe a bit better.

Good job!
And, Floyd: Great! I love it. :)

I promise I will enter the next challenge. ;)

Like Janrp said: I rendered one pass (the normal pass) with the textures and shadows on and no AO. And a second pass with no textures and no shadows and only AO (below). The material for the glass is dielectric, with IOR at 1,33.

Here are the passes I used: a normal pass with textures and shadows, an AO pass, Depth pass for the DOF blur and an alpha pass for the background.

Voting started!
You can now vote on your favorite dinner render. You have two votes. Voting will last 3 days.

ENSONIQ5:
This is definitely the most difficult contest to vote on so far, if I had five votes to cast they would be too few to honour the amazing standard of the submitted entries.  It's great to see different takes on the theme, and the level of detail, integrity of the modelling, and 'theatricality' is, in most cases, stunning.  Well done ladies and gentlemen, top quality stuff.

3Dgeek11:
Yes, ENSONIQ, this is a hard one to vote for!

I voted, though. :)

May I ask, floyd, how you do these "passes" and put them together? What's the point and how do you do it?
