Suggested features - very simple :)
gzs:
Hi Steve,
I've been playing with Anim8or a few months, and it's my first post in this forum, so I have a some suggestions. I have no idea of their complexity... they only seems simple to me... :)
Please, read them and feel free to say that all these suggestions are foolish.
1) Non parametric scripts could accept parameters, in the same way the parametric ones.
2) It could be possible to read/write attributes from parametric shapes from scripts (ASL). It would be very usefull for some repetitive tasks, like modifying only some parameters of the shape by a script. There is a similar feature in controller scripts.
3) Why not allow a uniform scaling factor attribute, like rotation? not asking so much, it would be very nice if this attribute had a controller for animations...
4) Non-exporting ASL scripts could write to files. Not only useful for debug, but for automating a lot of repetitive tasks, saving the work in a file and manually importing this file.
5) Finally, I think this is the easiest one: how about defining shortcuts for scripts?
I think scripts are a very powerfull tool, not only for parametric shapes but for implementing a lot of specific user features that you can't have time to do.
"Long live and prosper" for Anim8or!!

I know you adressed this to Steve... but...

This is already possible! Go to scene mode, enable the animation button (the green key) and use the scale tool... Create as many key frames as you need or make up a controller script ;D

I have another feature suggestion. Make morphs activated be slider instead of putting in numbers.

scripts are made by users, not steve so it be up to them to add shortcuts
gzs:
Right,
but how can I define a shortcut?
