Noob: frame rates?
(1/1)
Jeff2207:
Thank you for a wonderful program, I wanted to try my hand at modelling and looked at several programs but Anim8or is certainly my favourite. I've made a few simple models so now want to try some animation. I'm a bit unclear about frame rates, is it just a question of higher is better quality/slower render or are there other things to take into account? I think I remember reading somewhere that film animation is 24 fps, is that the best to use? Any help would be appreciated. :)
floyd86:
24 fps is standard and is best to use.
Jeff2207:
Thanks for the quick reply. That's what I'll use then.
mcheccyb:
24 as frame rate basically means there is 24 frames per second (or fps) the more frames per second the smoother the animation is.
24 is the standard for films.
i believe some films (wallace and gromit for example) go a bit mad and decide to use a very high frames rate.
wallace and gromit used 60 frames a second.
the higher the frame rate, the longer a movie takes to render.
hope this helped.
