Thanks guys! The render was something I came up with while looking for ideas to for a speed-up power-up icon. The green color is what I turn transparent in the image sequences that I work on. This one seemed cool so I posted it up...I hadn't done animation in Anim8or in years so it was a special occasion ;)
The 49-hour game jam finished, and we actually had something working this time around. My team was 3 programmers with me as the sole artist, and the theme was "Microcosm". The idea we came up with was to make a shoot 'em up inside a fish tank.
Here's the final build we submitted, if you want to give it a shot: http://wub-wub.com/Fiz_Game.7z Might be a bit heavy for some computers, and obviously plenty of bugs and incomplete features due to the time restrictions.
I created all the art in the game, and as mentioned before, the main fish that the player controls was animated and rendered in Anim8or before being made into spritesheets. The rest of the art was made from scratch using Inkscape, Anime Studio Pro, and Photoshop.

Nice Game/Work!! The game is Funny :)
the only problem for me..is the control, i(never) no so good using ASWD KEYS for control
characters in games, i always like more DIRETIONALS(ARROW) KEYS of keyboard.
for me is more easy ...but i think then the problems is me hehehe ;D

Cool Game Raxx!

Why'd you make the resolution so small? It's like less than a quarter of my screen size lol. Also why didn't you have AA enabled? These don't seem like very trivial things considering you are using unity.
However I won't complain too much ;)
Although I really like the art style I found it kinda hard to control my fish as when you are looking at your target your fish looks much like the others and I kept confusing it for them.
All in all it's a simple but very effective game.

Thanks CrashDrive and ronaldefarmer :)
cooldude234, I had no part in the programming or Unity. This was a last minute build they uploaded, I think they didn't have time (or just plain forgot) to enable options. It's a fully 2D game btw, the jaggies are probably the result of it not playing at native resolution, or some other improper configuration. It should be playing fullscreen for you though.
neirao, if I ever get the source files, I'll see if I can do something about that, among other things ;)
I thought I'd go ahead and upload the Fiz .an8 file, in case you guys wanted to learn from it or whatever. I designed Fiz in Inkscape, intending it to be animated in 2D in Anime Studio Pro, like all the other sprites, but wanted his movement represented more realistically along the Z-axis (if X and Y were the 2D plane--my concern was the fins). So I modeled it in Anim8or and started the rigging and animation in Blender, but got tired of it so I stuck with Anim8or all the way 8)
