if it was a bonfire, then it could easily be that big - i've seen bonfires a lot bigger than that!  8)  but the yellowy oval shapes in the renders look more electric-bulb-ish than bonfire-ish.  a lighthouse would need a very large bulb, yes, but the size of a horse?  i just don't think that'd be feasible to build/transport/install/etc - much more likely, you'd have a bulb the size of a football or thereabouts, possibly with a horse-sized lens mechanism surrounding it.  that's what they'd done at the last actual lighthouse i climbed up...

I was thinking that the light sources would be some sort of supernatural devices rather than modern light bulbs or simple flames, maybe a bit like that eye on Lord of the Rings. I have a somewhat better render that I will post later.

What about this one? Elements are rearranged, shadows are softer, light source looks a bit different. I meant to desaturate the terrain a bit, but I don't see a difference really.
