Mouth Making/Morphing
JSUSFREAK375:
Hello!
I need help! I have an animation that is A Veggietale as the picture shows. But how would I make the mouth? You can look up Bob the tomato for a reference image. I know how to morph, but how would I with a sphere.
Jesus bless you!

Hello JSUSFREAK375,
Here's how I would do it: Make a bright red sphere and convert it to a subdivision, delete a couple of faces where the mouth should be, use the shell tool to make the mouth look smooth and give it some depth, apply a flat black material to all interior faces, make some morph targets by manipulating the points and edges that form the lips to reshape the mouth, and finally, set up a scene and add keyframes to animate. Most importantly, have fun.

You dont know how much this has helped! Thank you so much! A Few more questions:
1. How do you select the faces of the inside without it turning the outside a black color?
2. How Did you get youres so reflective?
3. Im having trouble getting the shell tool to work.
Thank you for your time this is probably alot of questions for you!
Jesus bless you again!
Joshua

To use the shell tool, you must convert your shape to a mesh or subdivision, then delete at least one face. Click the shell tool, then left-click on the object, holding the mouse button while dragging up or to the right.
To select interior faces, first select all faces that should not be black, including other meshes that may be present. Press the letter "i" on your keyboard to invert your selection. Now apply a black material to the selected interior faces.
To make your material look glossy, double-click the material and increase the specular value to something like 0.7 or 0.8.
Best of luck, and God Bless You Also!

I should probably have mentioned that you need to go to "point edit" mode to use the shell tool and to edit individual faces.
