A One Sided Issue???
argo34116:
I guess I am just too much of a perfectionist. I want both sides to appear the same (Fin and wing markings) on a 3d model of colonial vipers from Battlestar Galactica Tos. The left side (see image) is good. Everything in the right place. When I attempt to duplicate these markings on the right side as appropriate, I come close (see image)As you can see,but it is not quite right. How can I solve this? I have included the textures and the 3d model here. Thank you.

Here is the 3ds model

And..... The textures

They look backwards from one side to the other. Looks like you might need to flip the texture on the other side 180 degrees?
I'm not familiar with how Anim8or does this, but it looks like you might try planar mapping the left and right sides independently?
Maybe you might also try dividing the model down the middle and use the mirror modeling tool to duplicate the other side with the texture applied?

I agree with lppena: I'd delete the wing that's messed up and replace it by a mirror image of the other wing.
When an object is perfectly symmetrical, it sometimes can be easiest to create only half of it and combine that half with its mirror image.
