2 bugs 1387
johnar:
hi steve :)
1387 scene mode
1) crashing/freezing when trying to render .avi. Seems to be with complex figures. ('complex' meaning a character figure. Very basic figures do render into avi ok.)
same files will render in 1385 no probs
2)folders not showing correctly in timetrack with 'complex' figures.
(folders greyed out, empty and unselectable. The folder contents are listed below the folder name, and can be slected.)
Folders working and showing correctly in 1835
EDIT: Have attached example/test .an8 zip
Scene 2 is a simple figure and renders ok.
Scene 1 'complex' is character figure, which freezes when trying to render. You'll also see in the timetrack, under figure01, shows 'Rhand', which is actually the folder name and should contain the bones of the right hand.
Steve:
Checking these out ...
Steve:
The crashes and the broken folder happen because of the missing objects. I added dummy objects for them and that fixed them.
These are both bugs that I'll fix for the next build I post, but in the mean time if you add the missing objects then you should be able to keep working :-)
#101-044 - Crash when rendering a scene with missing objects.
#101-045 - Bone folders with missing objects not working in Scene mode.
Thanks for the bug report!
johnar:
Awesome.
Thanks steve
Steve:
johnar these bugs have been fixed in build 1390.
I've also started working on multiple sound tracks for things like sound effects or multiple voices. Anim8or now builds a single merged sound file, but only for sounds with the same sample rate. I'm working on the filtering required for sample rate conversions now.
There is a new sound spec in the Scene->Properties dialog where you set the project-wide sample rate, stereo/mono and bit depth (which defaults to the first sound that you add). If you apply the Options->Debug->Use_Merged_Soundtrack command Anim8or will play the merged track instead of individual sounds. Until I get the filtering done, any sound that's isn't the specified sample rate will be replaced by a beep-tone.
After this I will start work on a second sound track
