UV Map quirks with house

It's hard to know how they texture coordinates got there without seeing how you built the model. But you can always use the UV tool in Point Edit mode to assign coordinates. First apply the material to the faces. Then select all the faces that you want to assign the coordinates to and use the UV tool to move and scale the image.

So that's how it works! I was able to duplicate what you did for the front of the house, the back is not 100% but at least I understand the principle. Thanks for your patience with a slow learner.
