another minor suggestion: timeline scrollbar
thecolclough:
nobody seems to have mentioned this yet, at least on this forum (haven't searched the old one), but how about a scrollbar on the sequence/scene mode timeline when it gets too long to fit in the window? every other video or audio app i've used (movie maker, audition and audacity, Flash, etc) has one, and i think it'd make life a lot easier when you're working on a long scene if anim8or had one too. the current click-on-the-last-visible-frame-then-press-the-right-arrow-key method is kinda awkward :P
any chance of implementation in the next 0.97 release? :)

Yes, that's a good idea, the method you have to use now is not that good. I also have 'problems' with this when working on bigger scenes/sequences.
hihosilver:
I agree.
Currently there's a scrollbar for more objects, and there's a new scrolling feature to view more scripts, but we definitely need one for the timeline. Otherwise, when I'm working with big scenes/animations, the way I have to navigate (click on the last frame shown, then press the "right" key) will slow me down a lot.

Yeah. I also agree. This would be a nice feature to have in the next version. Right now I'm working on a 1400 frame scene, and it's a bit annyoing having to use the "click on last frame showing and press the right arrow key.
thecolclough:
1400 frames?!! owch. i did 800 once (i rendered uncompressed widescreen DVD quality too, so the render filesize was suicidal), but i've never gone over 1k... i suppose you could now claim to be working in 'kiloframes', couldn't you?
