Nothing personal but just out of curiosity, why the use of all these different programs ?
I have never seen 3ds max - hence my ignorance - but I would have thought that a program with that price tag would be able to handle everything, OK except for making the texture ;)

i have never made a texture in 3ds max and it's really hard to apply my new uv map, and with milkshape 3d it's as simple as 3 steps, select face to uv map, apply uv map, and edit uv map, then you uv map every face, and i wasn't planning on starting 3ds max again to render it, as it takes ages to initilize, yet alone start up 3d, then finally loading the model, so i used anim8or to render. that awnser you're questions? :P

Thank you, that answers my question perfectly.
