Mafia Gangster Mario [WIP]

I don't know if anyone remembers me, but I was active here between 2002 and 2004, and occasions since then. Hello to anyone from those days.  :D

Basically, I'm making a 3D version of a piece of 2D pixel art I made a while ago; my own mafia version of Super Mario. So far I've done the head (I've yet to add the glasses and mustache/mouth. ):

looks like its coming along, the 2d version made me giggle hehe

The head looks a bit too square, though it's somewhat how you drew it in 2d.  Still, I think it could have a bit more depth.
The 2d is great.  Good shading and everything.
