Sorry, I don't have an answer, I just want to say that your table cloth is very pretty.

Something like this happened to me too with v0.97 - I set up the textures and UVs and it looked fine in Object mode, but in the renders all UVs were messed up...

This happened to me too:

with ART:
[img=http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/3743/deadendroad007paintdy8.th.jpg] (http://img135.imageshack.us/my.php?image=deadendroad007paintdy8.jpg)

And with scanline:
[img=http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/517/deadendroad008vc7.th.jpg] (http://img232.imageshack.us/my.php?image=deadendroad008vc7.jpg)

I have problems with textures disappearing in renders and deforming. In the left lower corner you also can see the ground texture has deformed.

Yes, there is a bug in the ray tracer.  I'm looking for the cause.  More examples would really be helpful.  Siragin, can you e-mail me your .an8 file?

Steve do you need the textures added with the file to fix this? Because i can send the file(3mb) but adding the textures would make it to big to send, because i used alot of textures.

However here is the download file without textures:

One more example... The first image is a screenshot from object mode, the second one is ART render...

Do you want me to send you the .an8 file?

first yes both pics are renders. the first is the model in scene mode and the the texture is all over the place. the second one is in object mode. both have reflection. And yes i can email the file warning model is kind of big so you wil have to frame the object in object mode. also thanks about the table i just used a cloth texturefor the table that i found.

Hi, first off 0.97 looks brill.  Second, here's another example of some texture probs:  on this render of some Daleks, I've used an alpha channel to create a "chicken wire" type mesh around the mid-section - worked fine in scanline but is all fudged up in ART - and indeed doesn't show at all without anti-aliasing (as in the video)

by way of a comparison, here's a scanline render

It does look like ART is having some wee troubles in interpreting texture co-ordinates.  Other than that absolutely fantastic.

I wahted to update everyone on this.  I suspect that these problems have something to do with the shadow bias that the raytracer uses to prevent self shadowing artifacts.  I'm still looking into the problem.
