....Okay,  been using this program since 1999,  and hands down my  favorite box modeling tool,  but, and I have never been able to  figure this out,  how do I drag a cylinder out and have be completely vertical?

Is there a simple way  to  do  this.  As it is,  every time you drag a cylinder it's invariably not 100% up and down, or left and right.  It is in fact,  no matter what, at an angle of some sort.  How do  I get around this?

On early versions of Anim8or 095 ish I did it by eye.

Then, I see it in 1088 but don't have a 98 to check, you could double click the cylinder and set the orientation so that it is completely vertical / horizontal.

In the latest I have, beta 1.00b, the cylinder only drags out completely vertical / horizontal, so there's no issue.

It just keeps getting better and better :)

 Which version do you have?

				Wow, you're an early adopter!

Starting with the 1.0 release cylinders are always added vertical (in the World Z direction). Is that what you need?

I'll  go  download that  now then,  and have a look  see.  I'm not too picky what  direction it's in,  I can always rotate it, as long as it's accurately aligned to  something(x,y,z).

I think  I'm using 0.98 right now,  but could be wrong,  I have several  versions floating around here.

				Super-cool  awesomeness!!!!!!

...one thing though,  and it may or may  not be a bug,  but when I opened my project, all of my models were textured with  the reference image,  they  all  had a default texture to  begin with. Not a problem  to  fix it, just  thought I'd mention it while I'm here.
-
If you ever find a way to reproduce the texture problem post it and I'll look into what's causing it.

on a related note, v1.0 also adds the ability to type orientation values directly into the cylinder editor (and the same for other elements within an object), which i find enormously helpful
