General Anim8or Forum / An8 format question

Hello. This is my first post so I am glad to be here.
I am the developer of a project called RCBasic, which is a game development focused version of BASIC which supports anim8or out of the box. Currently, it only supports influence areas but I am trying to get weight paints fully supported as well. The issue I am running into is that, even if weight paint was enabled on the model, the influence blocks are still generated on bones. So my question is, should I just ignore influence blocks on every bone if a weights block exists on any bone?
